Convert your bookmarks to Markdown
Drop a bookmarks export here and download it as Markdown: each folder becomes a heading with its links listed underneath. It pastes cleanly into Obsidian, Notion, Logseq, a GitHub README or any notes app.

Two layouts
| Headings per folder | One nested list |

Headings work best for long notes you read top to bottom. The nested list folds nicely in outliners such as Logseq or Workflowy. Square brackets in titles are escaped and spaces in URLs are encoded, so every link stays clickable.
Export your bookmarks from Chrome first
- Open
chrome://bookmarks(Ctrl+Shift+O, or Cmd+Option+B on a Mac). - Click the three-dot menu at the top right and choose Export bookmarks.
- Save the
.htmlfile, then drop it into the box above.
Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi export the same kind of file. The full walkthrough, with backups, is in how to export Chrome bookmarks; for the others see Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave and Opera.
Questions
How do I get my bookmarks into Obsidian?
Export your bookmarks from the browser, convert them here and save the .md file into your vault folder. Obsidian picks it up straight away.
Can I paste the result into Notion?
Yes. Open the Markdown file, copy everything and paste it into a Notion page. Notion turns the headings and links into blocks.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The page reads the file with your browser’s own file reader and builds the new file on your computer. You can load the page, turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.
