A Catppuccin new tab page for Chrome

Updated 18 October 2026

If your editor and terminal already run Catppuccin, your new tab can match. Stackboard ships Catppuccin Latte and Mocha in the palette’s official colors and lays your bookmarks out as a board on every new tab.

Latte and Mocha

Latte is Catppuccin’s light flavor and Mocha its darkest. Stackboard uses Latte in light mode and Mocha in dark mode, so with System selected the board follows your operating system as it switches.

Every value comes from Catppuccin’s published palette (Mantle, Base, Text, Subtext and Mauve), and each pair is checked for readable contrast.

Turn it on

  1. Add Stackboard to Chrome (or Brave) from the Chrome Web Store and open a new tab. Choose Keep it if Chrome asks whether to keep the new page.
  2. Click Settings in the sidebar, just under the search box. Appearance is the first section.
  3. Click the Catppuccin swatch. The board behind the dialog changes as you click, so you see it before you close Settings.
  4. Set Mode to Light for Latte, Dark for Mocha, or System to switch with your computer.

Match the rest of Chrome

Stackboard colors the new tab page. The tab strip and toolbar come from your Chrome theme, and Catppuccin publishes official Chrome themes for all four flavors (Latte, Frappé, Macchiato and Mocha) in the Chrome Web Store. Install the Mocha theme next to Stackboard’s Mocha palette and the whole window matches.

Background and density

Under the palette you can keep a solid color, pick one of three gradients made from the palette, or use your own picture with sliders to dim and blur it. The picture is stored in your browser on that computer and never uploaded. Over a picture, stacks and the sidebar turn into frosted panels so links stay readable. Compact density fits more stacks on a big board.

Questions

Does Stackboard have Frappé and Macchiato?

Not yet. It has Latte for light mode and Mocha for dark mode. You can still pair either with any Catppuccin Chrome theme for the toolbar.

Which accent color does it use?

Mauve, Catppuccin’s default accent, in both flavors.

Is it free?

Yes. Every palette is included, with no account and no paid tier.

Do my theme settings sync to my other computers?

Your spaces and bookmarks sync through Chrome, because they are ordinary Chrome bookmarks. The palette, mode and wallpaper are saved per computer, so set them once on each.
