Export your Arc spaces and pinned tabs as bookmarks

Updated 18 October 2026

Arc keeps your spaces, pinned tabs and folders in one file on your computer, and it has no button to export them. Drop that file here to get everything back as a normal bookmarks file, one folder per space, ready for Chrome, Zen, Firefox or any other browser.

🔒 Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Keep your spaces in Chrome

If you liked Arc’s spaces, download the Stackboard backup (.json) above and import it in Stackboard (Settings, Backup, Import JSON). Each Arc space becomes a Stackboard space on your new tab page, with its folders as stacks. It isn’t a copy of Arc’s sidebar: Stackboard shows saved links on the new tab, and your open tabs stay in Chrome’s tab strip. More on that in Arc Spaces in Chrome.

Questions

Does Arc have a bookmarks export?

No. Arc imports from other browsers but has no export for its spaces and pinned tabs. They live in StorableSidebar.json, which this tool reads.

Is Arc still being updated?

The Browser Company said in May 2025 that Arc would get Chromium and security updates while the team works on Dia, and arc.net now says Arc receives Chromium updates only. That is why many people are moving their spaces to another browser.

My Favorites row is missing. Why?

The pinned tabs and folders in every space come across. The Favorites icons at the very top of Arc’s sidebar are stored differently and may not be included; add those few sites by hand after importing.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The page reads the file with your browser’s own file reader and builds the new file on your computer. You can load the page, turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.

Your bookmarks, on every new tab

Stackboard is a free Chrome extension that lays out your bookmarks as a board on the new tab page. It stores everything as ordinary Chrome bookmarks, with no account.
